What is a medical alarm?
A medical alarm is a personal emergency response system (PERS) which allows you or your loved one to get help at the push of a button.
How does it work?
Once the help button is pushed and the alarm is activated, a professionally trained HALO operator will speak to you directly through the alarm speaker to determine the type of help needed.
What is the cost?
Who is this for?
HALO provides safety, security, independence, and peace of mind to people of all ages and life situations.
What if I can’t talk when I press my button?
Do not worry if you are unable to respond to the operator. The HALO operator will begin contacting the responders as previously instructed by you.
When do I take off the pendant?
We encourage you to never take off the HALO pendant. The help button is water resistant and can be worn in the shower.
What will happen if I lose power?
The home-based HALO alarm has a back up battery of approximately 36 hours should you lose electrical power.
How often do I have to test the equipment?
We encourage all customers to push their help button at least once per month.
Do I need a landline phone?
No. HALO offers traditional medical alarms that connect to a landline as well as home-based cellular alarms and mobile pendant systems.
What if I move to a new residence?
The HALO alarm can be transferred to another location in the event of a move. You will need to contact HALO first in order to update your contact information.
Why should I choose HALO?
HALO strives to offer the best service and products at the most affordable cost. We know from experience that a HALO medical system will provide a sense of security while allowing you to live independently in your own home.
